On June 6ᵗʰ – 7ᵗʰ, 2024, The 16th National Conference on Technical Education (NCTechED16) and the 11th International Conference on Technical Education (ICTechED11) successfully concluded at Benjarat Hall, NavamindraRajini Building, and the Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Bangkok, THAILAND. The conferences, jointly themed “New-Age Engineering and Education: Driving Innovation-Based and Sustainable Economy,” brought together leading experts, innovators, and scholars worldwide to discuss the latest advancements and trends in technical education.
The conferences were inaugurated with an inspiring opening ceremony led by the Dean of FTE KMUTNB, Associate Professor Dr. Pairote Stirayakorn, and the President of AIET, Assistant Professor Dr. Panarit Sethakul. The ceremony was further honored by Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn, the Vice President for Research and Information Technology Development of KMUTNB. In his keynote address, the Vice President highlighted the crucial role of engineering and education in driving innovation and fostering a sustainable economy. His remarks established an encouraging vibe for the event, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving global educational and technological progress.
At a conference on the future of vocational education, we were privileged to have esteemed keynote speakers Mr. Somlith VIRIVONG and Mr. Wittawat Panchamawat. Their insightful perspectives on navigating trends and overcoming challenges in the realm of vocational education were truly inspiring. They delivered a special presentation titled “Future-Ready Vocational Education: Navigating Trends and Tackling Challenges,” which left a lasting impact on all attendees.
In the current conference year, we were thrilled to have over 90 research articles participating in presentations at both national and international levels, as well as 79 Student Workshop 2024 papers at the Student Workshop, across various fields of study. This significant number of contributions is a testament to the growing interest and importance of our conferences. Additionally, we received interest from over 100 individuals to participate, both onsite and online, further highlighting the global reach and impact of our events.
