King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and Université de Lorraine have signed an agreement to develop a Double Ph.D. Degree program in Electrical and Energy Engineering. The agreement was signed on 20 April 2023, and it aims to strengthen their collaboration in this field and focuses on the development of a Double Ph.D. Degree program. The program will provide students with the opportunity to earn two Ph.D. degrees from both universities. This collaboration will enhance the quality of education and research in Electrical and Energy Engineering and provide students with a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from two different universities.
The Ph.D. thesis defense was held and attended by lecturers from both parties led by Asst.Prof.Dr. Panarit Sethakul, FTE dean’s advisor, Prof. Dr. Matheepot Phattanasak, Prof.Dr.Phatiphat Thounthong and Asst Prof. Dr. Wattana Kaewmanee lecturers from Department of Teacher Training in Electrical Engineering. The thesis defense indicates active involvement and support from faculty members on both sides. This highlights the commitment of the institutions to the success of the program. Overall, this agreement represents a collaborative effort between Université de Lorraine and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok to enhance academic and research opportunities for Ph.D. students through a Dual Ph.D. Degree program, thereby strengthening their academic ties and fostering international scientific cooperation. Furthermore, the academic reputation of both institutions in terms of the Degrees granted are mutually recognized in accordance with Educational Acts of European Community, with no geographic restriction. The number of research publications in international journals and international conferences during 2019-2023 were together 30 items, i.e.
